OUR VERY FIRST CHRISTMAS TREE!

OK Jeff and I were going to cut down our own tree in the forest for our first tree but we saw trees at Broulims that were just calling our names...so we got our first tree at a grocery store...at least IT'S REAL!

I found the perfect tree!

This Christmas we really tried to keep things within a budget so we got all of our decorations at the DOLLAR STORE!:)

It turned out pretty good for the budget we had!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Thanksgiving TIME!

Jeff and I spent Thanksgiving this year with my family at our Sheridan Ranch. We had a lot of family with us but not all of the family...
Here is a glimpse into our fun Thanksgiving weekend.
I got to spend some much needed cuddle time with my little HAZELNUT!
Dad planned out this awesome sleigh ride for the family!

After Dad took Jeff and I he gave me the reigns and let me take Jeff. It was really fun and since I used to ride horses every day of my life it was a breeze!
Jeff was impressed with my skills!

For Thanksgiving dinner Jeff and I were in charge of the mashed potatoes...I left Jeff to take care of the cutting while I helped with the yams...
This is what I came back to...
Potato man!...so much for having Jeff do the job!

Dad always brings the dogs to the cabin so even though we had 11 new puppies he brought them all along!
I had a great Thanksgiving for the first part of the day! I had to work Thanksgiving night...I worked with some great people though and I only had to work till midnight so it wasn't too bad.
That weekend some of the family went to the BYU/UofU game.
It was such a great game...
The cougars won and despite security lining the field...all of the fans rushed to field!
This Thanksgiving was great.
Let the holidays begin!

MY HANDY MAN!
(I wish I had pictures of the scraps of wood Jeff used to put this amazing piece of work together but I only have a few pictures of the final piece!)
This summer Jeff decided that we wanted to make me a cutting board!
I have to admit I did not expect to see this beautiful cutting board after Jeff was finished!
He did such a good job! I could not be happier with the results.
He is so talented!
This is the first time we used the cutting board!
It is perfect for our home and our small family!
Thanks Jeff for the wonderful gift!
I LOVE YOU!

NFL?
Jeff was part of the tackle football league this fall for BYUI. Since BYUI got rid of their competitive sports they offer all the sports still but they all play against everyone from BYUI. There were 8 (11 man) football teams all with their own team name and jerseys. I was very surprised how legit the football teams were.
Jeff had practice every day after work and games on Saturdays! He took it very seriously! I joked all season that he thought he was playing in the NFL!
I took it pretty serious too...I felt like I was back in high school and I was crushing over the football star...except I get to go home with this athlete!:)
Jeff's parents and some our families were able to come down and watch some of the games!
It was really fun having family support Jeff.
Even some of Jeff's uncles and cousins were able to come. This is Jeff's uncle Jim...he played in the championship game when BYUI was Ricks and they still had there competitive sports program! The ironic thing is that Jim was number 52 when he played for Ricks!
What a coincidence!

It was the debate of the season whether there was anyone bigger than Jeff or if anyone could stop him!
He was an animal out there!

Jeff's team ended up winning the championship game and they were undefeated all season!
GO WOLVERINES!

Bring on the BABIES!
I had the awesome opportunity to fly down to Las Vegas last week and help the Ruys family with their first bundle of joy!
My plane landed and the fun began...I am so grateful that I was able to be there for the labor and delivery. It was really neat being on the patients side of things instead of the nurse. I tried my hardest to stay in the shadows while the nurses came in to assess Liza's progress but it was no good...one time the nurse came in while I was changing some of the pads on Liza's bed, she said, "You're a labor nurse, aren't you?"
I replied, "Yeah I am, I am sorry if I seem to be overbearing...how could you tell?"
She stated with a smile, "Oh you can't help it...it's in your blood...your sister is lucky to have you by her side."
Little did she know that I felt like I was the lucky one!
The hospital, nurses and doctor were so great!
THANKS AGAIN RUYS FAMILY FOR LETTING ME BE A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL!
Rachel (one of my other sisters) was able to come and help out too!

THE BABY FUN CONTINUES!
Just yesterday Jeff and I were able to stop by the hospital to see the BRIGGS!
They are a family in our ward that just had their new baby girl on Saturday night. She is so beautiful!
Mallory Wheeler came along as well. She is also from our ward. We really do have one of the best wards in Rexburg.
LOOK at all that HAIR!
Megan looked great. Ryan and her are natural parents!
Beautiful BRINLEY!

My other sister TIFFANY just had her little girl last weekend as well! We can't wait to go see that beautiful baby soon!

HALLOWEEN 2009!

Jeff and I had a great Halloween this year...we started this weekend off with some pumpkin carving with Jesse and Kim!
Then we had a fun festive costume party with some of my best friends from high school!
The Sabins: PIRATES!
The Kecks: FOOTBALL PLAYER AND CHEERLEADER!
The Johnsons: HUNTER AND RABBIT!
The Webbs: GREEK GODS!
The party was a blast! We made caramel apples, played some really fun games and watched a scary movie!
Overall it was a great Halloween!
Today we went on another drive and while there is still no snow on the ground I had to take advantage of the beautiful scenery that we live by!
FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE...
REXBURG IDAHO...and surrounding dry farms!

I love the fact that we live somewhere where we can drive for literally 2 minutes and feel completely alone...it is a great way to get away from the troubles of the world...

This weekend was full of fun, love and happiness....and even if I don't act like it a lot of the time......I really do LOVE living in REXBURG!
